De term “Homo Faber” komt uit een bekend werk van Hannah Arendt, The Human Condition (beter bekend in het nederlands: Vita Activa). Daarin beschrijft zij de gradatie van menselijke activiteiten: arbeiden, werken en tenslotte handelen. Men kan dus stellen dat Politiek en Filosofie gelijk is aan handelen en denken.

As Hannah Arendt described in her book The Human Conditions, the basic activity of humans is LABOR. In the stage of “laboring”, human beings are like animal: it’s all about satisfying their needs. Here I’m talking about Food & Booze. That’s why I’ve named this category “the Basic: F&B”.
